At Sodexo, you'll belong in a team where everyone plays an important part in delivering an exceptional customer experience. We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team in Epsom, supporting our chefs and Food Service Assistants to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
You'll play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, supporting the kitchen team, managing deliveries and ensuring the kitchen is ready to deliver an excellent service every day.
What you'll do
- Keep kitchen areas clean, tidy and hygienic
- Wash dishes, crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment
- Clean fridges, work surfaces, equipment, floors, walls and doors
- Remove waste and maintain clean bin areas
- Receive, check and store deliveries
- Support stock rotation and stock takes
- Ensure stock is stored safely and correctly
- Support the chefs and Food Service Assistants during service
- Help with general kitchen duties and any additional tasks required
- Assist with moving tables or equipment when required
- Follow opening and closing procedures
- Complete required paperwork and records
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly
- Prioritise tasks and respond to changing business needs
- Follow all food safety, COSHH, health & safety and company procedures
- Attend required training and support the wider team when needed
- Maintain a positive and professional approach when supporting customers and colleagues
What you'll bring
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is beneficial
- A positive, can-do attitude
- Willingness to learn and develop

- Good communication and listening skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, trustworthy and proactive approach
- Good organisational and prioritisation skills

- Commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required, as there are no public transport links to site
