The Strategic Housing Specialist at HMP Bronzefield plays a key role in improving accommodation outcomes for people leaving custody. Working across a cluster of prisons, this role focuses on strengthening partnerships between prisons, probation services, local authorities, and housing providers to ensure individuals have access to appropriate accommodation upon release.
This is a strategic, non-operational position that supports the delivery of housing legislation, including the Homelessness Reduction Act and the Duty to Refer, while helping prisons and partners develop more effective approaches to preventing homelessness. The role also supports senior leaders by improving the use of accommodation data, strengthening partnerships, and embedding sustainable solutions that reduce the risk of rough sleeping and reoffending.
