Available Working Patterns
Full-Time General Assistant
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Consistent hours and great work-life balance
Weekend General Assistant
- 16 hours per week
- Ideal for earning extra income around existing commitments
Part-Time / Casual General Assistant
- Flexible 3 to 4-hour shifts
- Perfect for parents, carers, students or semi-retired individuals
- Designed to work around school drop-offs, pick-ups and family commitments

As a General Assistant, you'll help create a safe, clean and welcoming environment where residents can relax, recharge and feel at home.
About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding position supporting housekeeping, cleaning and catering operations across the village.
You'll play an important role in maintaining high standards throughout accommodation, communal areas and dining facilities while delivering excellent customer service to residents and visitors.
No two days are the same, making it an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and being part of a supportive team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering high standards of cleaning and housekeeping
- Maintaining accommodation, communal areas, kitchens and dining facilities
- Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms and shared spaces
- Supporting laundry operations
- Assisting with food preparation and meal service when required
- Maintaining kitchen, dishwash and dining areas to excellent hygiene standards
- Replenishing stock and supplies
- Correctly managing waste and recycling
- Following COSHH, Health & Safety and hygiene procedures
- Reporting maintenance issues and resident feedback
- Supporting deep cleaning programmes and routine schedules
- Creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for residents
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent standards
What We're Looking For
- Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality, catering or customer service is desirable
- A positive, reliable and hardworking attitude
- Friendly and approachable personality
- Strong team player who enjoys helping others
- Good communication skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
- Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but not essential
No previous experience?
That's okay. If you have a great attitude and a willingness to learn, full training can be provided.
