Front Of House Assistant

• 40 hours per week
• £13.45 per hour
• 5 days out of 7 (Mon to Fri with 1 - 2 weekends per month)
• 8 hour shifts to be worked, scheduled between the hours of Mon - Fri 7am to 8:30pm, Sat & Sun 8am –4:30pm
• Saturday paid at time and a half (£20.17 per hour)
• Sunday paid at double time (£26.90 per hour)

Front of House Assistant - Cambridge Biomedical Campus, CB2 0AA - Permanent Full Time

You'll be working at a fabulous cafe which is open to staff and to local residents. We serve fabulous food and drinks including Coffees, smoothies, beers and cocktails.

What you'll do:

• Deliver a professional front of house service with a strong focus on customer care and Sodexo standards
• Support the preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverages, including accurate till operation and transactions
• Varied role working across the Cafe and events spaces for conferences, quizzes, community events, open mic nights, murder mystery, Christmas events etc
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all front of house, dining, and service areas
• Monitor and replenish stock, assist with deliveries, and ensure food safety procedures are followed and recorded correctly
• Comply with all health & safety, hygiene, fire safety, and COSHH regulations while reporting incidents or feedback promptly

What you'll bring:

• Previous experience of working in a hospitality or retail environment preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a professional and approachable manner
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, standards-driven environment
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Proactive, reliable, and hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
• You must be over 18 due to serving alcohol
