Custody Administrator Assistant
Location: HMP Forest Bank
We are seeking a reliable and detail‑focused Custody Administrator Assistant to join the Custody Administration Team at HMP Forest Bank. This role plays a key part in supporting the day‑to‑day running of the prison by delivering high‑quality administrative services to custodial and operational teams.
Working as part of a busy, multi‑tasked environment, you will help ensure resident records are accurately maintained, securely stored, and managed in line with information governance requirements.
You will have strong administrative experience, sound IT skills (particularly Microsoft Word and Excel), and a good eye for detail. Organised and calm under pressure, you’ll communicate effectively, handle sensitive information with discretion, and demonstrate a commitment to accuracy, professionalism and personal development.

HMP Forest Bank serves the courts of Greater Manchester and maintains strong community links with a clear focus on resettlement. We provide quality‑of‑life services that support people to make positive changes, offering education, training and work‑ready skills to everyone in custody. Our support continues after release through partnerships that help individuals maintain recovery and lead law‑abiding lives. The prison includes 16 residential units, plus a healthcare centre, gym, library, workshops, visits hall, chaplaincy and kitchen.
