About the Role
We are looking for a qualified Commercial Gas / Heating Engineer to join our Facilities Management team at HMP Northumberland. This is a secure, stable, and long-term role maintaining commercial gas and heating systems across a large, well-maintained site.
This position offers a varied workload, job security, and the opportunity to work in a structured environment with consistent hours and strong benefits.
What You’ll Be Doing
Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas and heating systems
Completing gas safety inspections and certification (CP15, CP17)
Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
Ensuring all work complies with Gas Safe and Health & Safety regulations
Supporting the safe and reliable operation of the establishment
Participating in the on-call rota (with additional allowance)
What We’re Looking For
Essential
Gas Safe registered
Commercial ACS qualifications (COCN1, CDGA1, ICPN1 or equivalent)
Experience working on commercial gas and heating systems
Ability to work independently and manage your workload
Desirable
Facilities Management or large-site maintenance experience
