We are looking for an experienced and motivated Chef Manager to join a busy catering operation in Tingley.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day catering service, managing a team and ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, service, safety and customer satisfaction.

As a Chef Manager you'll:

• Oversee the daily catering operation and lead the team during service.
• Supervise, support and motivate catering staff.
• Maintain strong client and customer relationships.
• Ensure food is prepared, cooked, stored and served in line with food safety standards.
• Manage menus, recipes and portion control.
• Monitor food temperatures and ensure records are completed accurately.
• Manage stock levels, ordering, waste and food costs.
• Complete regular stock takes and financial reporting.
• Ensure opening, closing and handover procedures are followed.
• Attend team briefings, meetings and training as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised working environment.
• Ensure all relevant paperwork and records are completed accurately and on time.
• Identify and report service, safety or performance issues to management.
• Support the wider catering operation as required.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a Chef Manager, Chef Supervisor or similar catering leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and health & safety.
• Experience supervising and motivating a catering team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• The ability to work independently and make decisions during busy service periods.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• A relevant catering qualification or equivalent, such as NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, HND or similar.
• Intermediate Food Safety qualification.
