What you'll do

• Issue and manage site keys and access cards, completing regular checks and audits.
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, concerns and emergencies.
• Support emergency procedures, including fire alarms, evacuations and security alerts, in accordance with site procedures and training.
• Monitor site radio communications and respond appropriately to calls and incidents.
• Monitor CCTV systems where required and appropriately licensed.
• Complete accurate incident reports, occurrence logs and security records.
• Carry out regular security checks and report any concerns, hazards or suspicious activity.
• Liaise with management and, where required, emergency services or other relevant authorities.
• Support contractors and visitors while on site, ensuring security procedures are followed.
• Carry out weighbridge duties accurately and efficiently.
• Provide professional reception and customer service support, helping employees, visitors and contractors with queries.
• Build positive working relationships with colleagues and customers across the site.
• Escalate security concerns promptly and provide clear information to the appropriate manager.
• Follow all company and site Health & Safety, security and operational procedures.
• Support the wider security team with other reasonable duties as required.

What you'll bring

• A current SIA Frontline Guarding Licence – essential.
• A professional, approachable and customer-focused attitude.
• Good communication skills with the confidence to interact with employees, visitors, contractors and management.
• The ability to remain calm and professional in emergency or challenging situations.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to complete accurate security and incident records.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Confidence using computers, including Microsoft Office and site-based systems.
• The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
• A reliable and responsible approach with a strong awareness of safety and security.

A CCTV Licence would be advantageous but isn't essential.

Previous experience within security operations, a reception environment or a busy operational/manufacturing site would also be beneficial.
