Security Officer

ESB Poolbeg – Full time

At Sodexo, we're committed to maintaining safe, secure and welcoming environments for our clients, customers and employees. As a Security Officer at ESB Poolbeg, you'll play an important role in maintaining site security while providing a professional and helpful service to staff and visitors.

You'll be responsible for static guarding and gatehouse duties, managing access to site and responding to alarms, emergencies and site notifications in line with established procedures.

What you'll do

  • Carry out static guarding and gatehouse duties, ensuring site security procedures are consistently followed

  • Manage visitor access, issue security passes and maintain accurate site records

  • Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms and site notifications in line with site procedures

  • Support reception duties, including handling telephone calls

  • Conduct safety checks and report hazards, incidents and other concerns

  • Ensure compliance with site security, health and safety and operational procedures

  • Support site evacuations and liaise with emergency services when required

  • Maintain a professional approach and deliver a high standard of customer service

  • Work flexibly to support the operational requirements of the site

What you'll bring

  • A valid PSA Licence

  • Previous experience in a similar security role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A calm and professional approach when dealing with emergencies and challenging situations

  • Strong customer service, organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Flexibility to cover day and night shifts, holidays and sickness when required

  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team
