What you'll do

• Prepare and serve fresh food and drinks while delivering a friendly, welcoming, and professional customer experience.
• Support both front and back of house operations, helping ensure the catering service runs smoothly throughout the day.
• Assist with food preparation, counter service, hospitality, and vending services as required.
• Set up food counters, ensure displays are attractive and well stocked, and promote daily menu offerings.
• Operate tills accurately, process customer transactions, and complete end-of-day cashing up procedures.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with customers and creating a positive dining experience.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation across kitchens, dining areas, and customer spaces.
• Complete daily and scheduled cleaning tasks, ensuring all catering areas remain clean, safe, and compliant.
• Monitor stock rotation, record food waste, and help minimise waste in line with company procedures.
• Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, COSHH, and company procedures at all times.
• Work closely with the Catering Manager, Head Chef, and wider team to support the successful delivery of catering services.
• Support evening, weekend, hospitality, and special event catering when required.

What you'll bring

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, food service, retail, or customer service is desirable.
• A passion for delivering outstanding customer service with a friendly and approachable attitude.
• Experience preparing and serving food in a busy environment.
• Good understanding of food hygiene, health & safety, and safe working practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a positive and professional approach.
• High standards of personal presentation, hygiene, and attention to detail.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent service standards.
• A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach with the willingness to support different areas of the catering operation.
• Confidence working independently as well as part of a supportive team.
• A willingness to learn, develop new skills, and participate in training.
• Food Safety qualifications are desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays when required by the business
