Set within 35 acres of beautiful grounds in the heart of Abingdon and just 8 miles from Oxford, Abingdon School Foundation combines over 750 years of history with a modern and ambitious outlook. The Foundation is entering an exciting new chapter, becoming fully co-educational from 2026, and new summer camps launching in 2027.

Oversee the replenishment of food and maintain clean, organised service areas to a high standard
Support the preparation, presentation, and service of food in line with Sodexo’s quality expectations
Assist with stock rotation, labelling, and food safety compliance
Provide warm, professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors
Work collaboratively with the wider catering team to ensure smooth daily operations
Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures, contributing to a safe working environment
Experience working in a busy kitchen or catering environment, ideally serving large numbers
Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food presentation standards
A positive, reliable, and professional approach to teamwork
Understanding of food safety, allergen awareness, and hygiene practices
Confidence working under pressure during busy service periods
Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer focused attitude
NVQ Level 2
Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
At least one year of hands on catering or kitchen experience (Training in Food Hygiene and Health & Safety is provided)
