Put your coffee skills centre stage

If you're an experienced Barista looking for a role where you can showcase your skills without sacrificing your evenings and weekends, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about producing exceptional coffee, takes pride in delivering consistently high-quality beverages, and enjoys creating a welcoming experience for every customer. Based within our modern corporate workplace café at Patheon in Swindon, you'll become an important part of a friendly team delivering outstanding food and beverage services to colleagues and visitors.

This is more than a coffee-making role. We're looking for someone who understands great espresso, can confidently operate commercial coffee equipment, and enjoys working in an environment where quality, presentation and customer service matter.

What you'll do

  • Prepare and serve consistently high-quality espresso-based coffees, speciality drinks and refreshments.
  • Confidently operate commercial coffee machines and grinders to company standards.
  • Produce excellent milk texture and create an attractive finished product (latte art experience is highly desirable).
  • Deliver friendly, professional and engaging customer service with every interaction.
  • Support the preparation and presentation of food to the highest standards.
  • Operate tills and process transactions accurately.
  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness across coffee equipment, counters and service areas.
  • Ensure food safety, health & safety and hygiene standards are always maintained.
  • Restock displays and service areas to create an inviting environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an efficient and professional catering service.

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone with previous experience working as a Barista within a busy café, coffee shop or hospitality environment.

You'll also have:

  • Experience producing high-quality espresso-based coffees.
  • Confidence using commercial coffee machines and grinders.
  • Excellent milk texturing skills, with latte art experience desirable.
  • A genuine passion for coffee and delivering a premium customer experience.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistently high standards.
  • The ability to work independently whilst supporting a wider team.
  • Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health & safety practices.

Desirable

  • Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • COSHH or First Aid knowledge.

What success looks like

  • Consistently producing exceptional coffee and beverages.
  • Delivering an outstanding customer experience every day.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming café environment.
  • Building positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Supporting a professional, efficient and high-performing catering team.
