This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at HMP Peterborough as an Administrative Support Officer within the Use of Force (UoF) Department.
In this role, you will provide efficient and accurate administrative support to ensure the smooth running of daily operations, compliance with reporting requirements, and effective communication across departments.
You will play a key role in preparing reports, maintaining accurate records, handling sensitive data (including CCTV and body-worn camera footage), and supporting the UoF Coordinator in all aspects of administration.
We’re looking for a highly organised and resilient individual with strong IT skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage and prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a similar setting, or within the justice, health, or social welfare sector, would be advantageous.

Download and manage all CCTV, BWVC, and handheld camera footage for both male and female prisons.
Prepare triage packs, daily UoF logs, and monthly reports, ensuring timely distribution before meetings.
Provide administrative support, including correspondence handling, filing, photocopying, and call management.
Minute weekly triage and monthly committee meetings, updating action trackers and incident logs accurately.
Maintain records of UoF training, leavers’ PPE returns, and upload monthly data to the NOMs Hub.
Support the UoF Coordinator with flexibility to undertake additional duties as required.

Essential
Experience working in a similar environment or role
Proficiency in IT systems including Microsoft Word, NOMIS, and Excel
Commitment to personal development and adaptability to change
Ability to manage, organise, and prioritise workloads effectively
Desirable
Experience within the health, social welfare, or voluntary sector
Knowledge of the English legal system
Successful candidates must pass an Enhanced Level 2 vetting process (to be completed on site).
