Working days: predominately Monday to Friday with flexibility to work 5 over 7days

Working Hours: 40hrs

Job Introduction

We are looking for an experienced and people-focused Transformation Manager – Cleaning Services to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract at George Watson’s College, Edinburgh. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who combines strong operational cleaning expertise with commercial awareness, financial confidence, and the ability to lead change in a fast-paced environment.

Working closely with the Senior Account Manager and on-site leadership team, you will play a key role in driving the transformation of cleaning services, delivering mobilisation plans, and ensuring high standards across the contract. You will be a confident communicator who can build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, support and develop teams, and bring innovative ideas that improve service delivery, efficiency, and sustainability.

What You'll Do:

  • To support as Cleaning subject matter expert at George Watsons College
  • Create and maintain a senior client communication meeting and deliver tangible information
  • Support change management at site
  • Support the Senior account manager to deliver and measure an annual operational project activity plan for George Watsons College
  • Deployment of the above plan on time and within budget
  • Reviewing the Cleaning and activity and checking compliance
  • Work closely with the Cleaning Manager to ensure all aspects of contract mobilisation are successfully delivered and within budget
  • Undertake safety walks and spot checks on site
  • Conduct x 4 audits per week using the ecat and providing the client and Senior Account Manager with results
  • Review each Cleaning shift with Cleaning Manager to ensure operational efficiency
  • Conduct a constant review of the client property to ensure that the right productivity is awarded to each building

What You Bring:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in managing cleaning teams and contracts
  • Proven operational knowledge, skills and experience in managing change
  • Management of large and diverse teams
  • Manage multiple workloads and shifting priorities
  • Ability to interpret and utilise complex and varied financial and commercial information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients and employees at all levels
  • A proven ability to set one’s own standards and operate to performance criteria
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative within a team environment
  • Flexible, agile, strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

Desirable:

  • Change Management
  • BICs experience
