What you'll do
- Support the Head Chef in the daily management of kitchen operations.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality food and presentation standards.
- Supervise and motivate kitchen team members during service.
- Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal menu changes.
- Manage food ordering, stock rotation, and inventory control.
- Monitor food costs, waste, and labour efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, Health & Safety, and company procedures.
- Assist in training, coaching, and developing team members.
- Lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Support hospitality events, special functions, and promotional activities.
What you'll bring
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie.
- Strong culinary skills and passion for quality food.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene legislation.
- Experience with stock control, ordering, and cost management.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive, proactive, and customer-focused approach.
