Lead technical excellence in a prestigious Central London corporate environment

Engineer a brighter future.

This is an opportunity to take senior ownership of the technical performance of a high-profile corporate estate in Central London, supporting an internationally recognised organisation with a global reputation for quality, innovation and excellence.

As Senior Technical Services Manager, you'll lead a sophisticated multi-site technical operation, working directly with senior client stakeholders to ensure the estate is safe, resilient, compliant and operating to exceptionally high standards.

This is more than a technical management role. We're looking for a credible senior leader who can combine engineering expertise with commercial judgement, executive presence and the ability to build high-performing teams.

Technical expertise is essential. Executive presence will set you apart.

Join our team and play a key role in delivering excellence and innovation in Hard FM and Technical Facilities Services.

The role

You'll take overall responsibility for the delivery and performance of Hard FM and Technical Services across the London cluster.

.

As a Senior Technical Services Manager you'll:

  • Lead, manage and develop the Technical Services and Administration teams
  • Ensure delivery of all Hard FM services to agreed SLA and KPI standards
  • Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive works and small projects
  • Oversee contractor and subcontractor performance and compliance
  • Ensure all statutory and health & safety compliance obligations are met
  • Manage permits to work, RAMS and safe systems of work
  • Support financial performance through cost control and budgeting
  • Build strong client relationships and manage escalations effectively
  • Drive innovation, process improvement and operational efficiencies
  • Support lifecycle planning, engineering resilience and business continuity initiatives
  • Produce clear operational and compliance reporting for stakeholders

We're looking for a leader who can make an impact:

The successful candidate will bring strong technical credibility, but just as importantly, the personality and presence to operate confidently within a premium corporate environment.

  • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and comfortable challenging constructively
  • Able to translate complex technical issues into clear, business-focused recommendations
  • Calm and decisive when dealing with pressure, incidents and competing priorities
  • Commercially aware, with sound judgement around cost, risk, quality and resilience
  • A visible and engaging leader who develops people and creates a culture of accountability
  • Comfortable moving between strategic conversations and operational detail
  • A natural problem solver who takes ownership and drives issues through to resolution
  • You will understand that in a high-end corporate environment, how you deliver the service matters just as much as what you deliver.

Your background

Your experience could come from Hard FM, Technical Services, Engineering or an in-house Estates function.

We're particularly interested in candidates who have worked within complex, high-specification environments such as:

Banking - Financial Services - Pharmaceutical - Life Sciences - Professional Services - Corporate Headquarters - Premium Commercial Real Estate

You'll ideally have:

  • Proven senior leadership experience within Technical Services, Hard FM, Engineering or Estates
  • Strong multidisciplinary engineering knowledge
  • Experience leading teams across complex or multi-site environments
  • Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, engineering risk and health & safety
  • Experience managing technical contractors and specialist supply chains
  • Commercial and financial awareness, including budget management
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • A degree, HND or equivalent technical qualification
  • IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification

Why this opportunity?

This is a chance to take a high-profile senior leadership position within a prestigious Central London corporate estate, where standards are exceptionally high and your leadership will have a visible impact.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Work directly with senior corporate stakeholders
  • Lead a complex, multi-site technical operation
  • Influence engineering resilience, performance and continuous improvement
  • Develop and lead a high-performing technical team
  • Build your career and access professional development opportunities within Sodexo
