We are looking for a professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team in Bracknell. This is a varied role where you'll be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors and contractors while delivering excellent customer service.

As the first point of contact on site, you'll be based at reception, carrying out security duties, supporting facilities operations and responding to incidents when required.

What you'll do

• Control access to and from the site in line with client and Sodexo procedures.
• Provide a professional reception and security presence.
• Conduct internal and external building patrols.
• Monitor CCTV, access control and intercom systems.
• Respond to alarms and security incidents.
• Issue site ID badges to staff, visitors and contractors.
• Manage site keys and lost property.
• Receive and distribute deliveries.
• Support site events and emergency exercises.
• Complete weekly fire alarm testing.
• Carry out basic planned maintenance tasks, including building tours, fire extinguisher checks, first aid and defibrillator checks, and water flushing where required.
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate records and reports.
• Act as a first responder for out-of-hours facilities issues, such as minor flood clearance.
• Provide First Aid support when required.
• Follow all Sodexo and client policies, procedures and site rules.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management.

What you'll bring

• Valid SIA Licence.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Previous experience in a security role.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• A smart, professional appearance with excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• A proactive, reliable and flexible approach to work.
• Confidence working independently as well as part of a wider team.
• A strong commitment to maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment, with a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to support the wider facilities team.
