About the role

We are seeking a highly organised and security-conscious Security Administrator to support the effective operation of the Security Department at HMP Addiewell.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will play a key part in security compliance, data analysis, audit assurance, and maintaining the safe and secure running of the establishment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensuring CCTV and productions are available for presentation at the Orderly Room.
  • Handling productions and ensuring records are kept up to date.
  • Assisting with the testing of productions and report findings in line with the contract.
  • Liaison with Police Scotland.
  • Support staff training and awareness programmes.
  • Oversight of audit and assurance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with RIPSA standards across the establishment.
  • Input incidents data on to PR2 linking in closely with Intelligence Management Unit.
  • Liaison with external agencies including contracts for BWVC, radios, batons etc.
  • Undertake duties as required that will contribute to the effective operation of the Security Unit & whole establishment.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Liaise with employees and members of the public in a polite, confident and friendly manner.

  • Administration experience.
  • Excellent time management skills and have a methodical approach.
  • Excellent Communications skills.
  • Good eye for detail and an inquisitive nature.
  • A security focused approach, exhibiting a reliable and responsible attitude.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and have a good work ethic.
  • Ability to make balanced judgements.
  • Discretion due to classified nature of the role.
