Job Introduction

We are looking for a professional, adaptable, and proactive Relief Security Officer to join our team at a busy client site with Sodexo. This role plays a vital part in supporting day-to-day security operations, helping to ensure the safety of people, property, and assets while delivering a consistently high standard of service.

As a Relief Security Officer, you will provide flexible support across a range of shifts and locations on site. You’ll be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and ensuring all security procedures are followed. This position requires someone who remains calm under pressure, demonstrates strong situational awareness, and can respond confidently and effectively in emergency situations.

What you’ll do:

• Deliver flexible security coverage across the site, adapting to operational needs
• Monitor and control access points, ensuring only authorised personnel enter the premises
• Carry out regular patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations
• Accurately record all activities and complete detailed incident reports
• Adhere to all site security procedures and Sodexo policies at all times
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a safe, secure, and supportive workplace

What you bring:

• Good understanding of core security operations and procedures, with the ability to remain calm, composed, and decisive in high-pressure or emergency situations
• Flexible and adaptable approach to shift patterns and operational requirements
• Strong communication skills with excellent attention to detail and situational awareness
• Confident working independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Competent IT skills for accurate reporting and record-keeping
• Hold a valid SIA Frontline Licence and a current First Aid certificate
• Full UK driving licence (maximum of 6 penalty points)
• Must meet the minimum age requirement of 25 and be able to successfully pass BS7858 security vetting standards
