Job Introduction
We are recruiting for a proactive and adaptable Relief Security Officer to join our security team in Glasgow. This flexible role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is confident working across a range of shift patterns to support site needs.
As a key member of the team, you will play an important role in maintaining the safety and security of the site, its staff, and visitors, providing reliable cover across shifts and ensuring consistent service delivery at all times.
What you’ll do:
- Provide flexible security cover across a range of shift patterns to support the core team
- Conduct regular patrols and respond to incidents promptly and professionally
- Monitor site activity, including CCTV and alarm systems
- Manage access control and visitor procedures effectively
- Complete accurate and detailed incident reports
- Deliver a high standard of customer service to employees, clients, and contractors
What you bring:
- Hold a valid and current SIA Security Guard licence
- First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
- Previous experience in a security role, ideally within a fast-paced or corporate environment
- Confident, flexible, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Competent in basic IT systems with the ability to quickly learn new platforms
- Full UK driving licence
- Must be 18 or over in line with licensing requirements
