Micro Kitchen and Vending Operative | Cambridge, CB5 8AB

At Sodexo, you'll belong in a team where attention to detail and exceptional customer service make a real difference. We're looking for a proactive Vending Operative to join our team at a leading global social media and technology company.

In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of coffee stations, vending machines and refreshment areas, ensuring they're clean, fully stocked and operating efficiently throughout the day. You'll help create an exceptional workplace experience for employees and visitors by maintaining five-star presentation standards while delivering outstanding customer service.

What you'll do

• Refill coffee and food vending machines with approved products
• Ensure correct product placement, pricing and labelling
• Order stock and maintain appropriate stock levels
• Rotate stock and remove expired or damaged products
• Complete monthly stock takes and maintain accurate records
• Clean vending machines and surrounding areas to the highest standards
• Carry out food safety due diligence and health & safety checks
• Maintain clean, organised stock rooms and storage areas
• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Respond promptly to customer requests and queries
• Assist with special events and hospitality functions when required
• Support other catering departments when needed
• Build positive relationships with suppliers and third-party contractors
• Ensure compliance with food safety, COSHH, health & safety and company procedures at all times

What you'll bring

• Previous experience in vending, catering, hospitality or a customer service environment is desirable
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and use your initiative
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• High attention to detail and pride in presentation
• Good IT, literacy and numeracy skills
• A reliable, trustworthy and proactive approach
• Flexible and willing to support the wider team
• Commitment to maintaining excellent hygiene and food safety standards

Desirable

• Knowledge of food safety legislation
• Understanding of COSHH regulations
• Experience working within a premium corporate or hospitality environment
