What You Will Do
- Clean allocated pieces of catering equipment using correct instructions and materials.
- Run the industrial dishwasher to support smooth kitchen operations.
- Store and dispose of waste correctly in line with mandatory regulations
- Comply with all company and statutory health, safety and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all catering areas.
- Handle equipment with care to minimise breakages.
- Ensure all catering equipment is cleaned promptly.
- Assist at special events, sometimes outside regular hours (overtime paid).
- Help with simple food prep when required.
- Report accidents, fire, theft, loss or damage and take appropriate action.

- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients and staff
- Confidence working well in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
- Proven ability to achieve required performance criteria.
- A proactive, positive approach to learning and developing in the role.
- Strong initiative and motivation to complete tasks to a high standard.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to support different tasks and adapt to the needs of the operation.
- Friendly, professional and positive attitude.
- Hygiene qualification or previous Kitchen Porter experience (desirable)
