Education Manager – HMP Peterborough
Location: HMP Peterborough
Reports to: Deputy Head of Education, Skills and Work
Are you a dynamic leader passionate about education and rehabilitation? We’re seeking an Education Manager to lead and inspire our Education and Industries team at HMP Peterborough. This is your chance to drive high-quality learning programs that meet national standards and make a real impact on prisoner outcomes.
What you'll do:
Lead, manage, and develop a skilled team across education, administration, and induction.
Deliver and oversee education programs aligned with Ofsted and contractual standards.
Act as Lead Internal Quality Assurer for all qualifications, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with prison staff and external partners to foster a learning culture and improve engagement.
Manage budgets, reporting, and quality assurance to drive outstanding learner results.
What we’re looking for:
Qualified teacher (DET or PGCE) with senior leadership experience.
IQA qualification or willingness to train.
Proven track record in curriculum design, team leadership, and managing quality in challenging environments.
Strong commitment to offender education, rehabilitation, and professional development.
Resilience, energy, and the drive to innovate and deliver results in a fast-paced setting.
