Team Leader Offender Management Unit

Join us at HMP Bronzefield as a dedicated Team Leader supporting the Head of Reducing Reoffending and Offender Management Services. Lead a diverse team of Prison Offender Managers and Administrators in delivering rehabilitative services aimed at reducing reoffending and supporting the successful reintegration of women into the community. This pivotal role involves case supervision, risk management, and close collaboration with internal teams and external partners, all while ensuring the safety, well-being, and security of women in custody. Make a real difference by shaping and delivering effective resettlement plans and contributing to safer communities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a multi-disciplinary team focused on offender management and rehabilitation.

  • Support the Head of Reducing Reoffending and Head of Offender Management Services in developing and delivering the Bronzefield Business Plan.  To lead a diverse team of staff, which includes Prison Offender Managers and Administrators.

  • Oversee case management to reduce reoffending and promote prisoner wellbeing.

  • Manage key performance targets, including risk assessments, release planning, and prisoner applications.

  • Foster strong partnerships with external agencies to support reintegration efforts.

  • Ensure compliance with Ministry of Justice, HMPPS, and Sodexo policies and standards.

  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and professional development within your team.

The Ideal Candidate 

Essential

  • Understanding of life experiences and social problems affecting women in custody, and how these also affect their ability to resettle effectively and safely into the community.
  • Ability to deal with challenging behaviours in a professional manner.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Enhanced people and time management skills
  • Understanding of custody disposals, prohibited orders and community sentences
  • Understanding of the resettlement needs of female offenders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of risk assessment,
  • Committed to the implementation of equal opportunities
  • Enhanced Level 1 DBS Clearance

 Desirable

  • Experience of working in a custodial environment and or with offenders in the community. (This could be gained through paid or voluntary work in a range of settings.
  • Experience in case management of offenders.
  • Understanding of the wider criminal justice system
  • Qualifications in a related subject,

Package Description

£36,346.01 + LW 3729. 24

Monday - Friday 

37.5 hours per week
