At HMP Bronzefield, we’re offering an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Diversity Coordinator. In this pivotal role, you’ll promote inclusion, celebrate differences, and ensure compliance with the Equality Act — positively impacting both our staff and the women in our care.

What you’ll do:
Champion Diversity & Inclusion across the prison, aligning with Equality Act and HMPPS guidelines.
Lead on D&I initiatives, maintain the action plan, and produce monthly reporting.
Investigate discrimination reports (DIRFs) and ensure fair outcomes.
Deliver D&I training and organise events that celebrate our diverse community.
Manage accurate documentation and support internal & external stakeholders.
Work closely with teams supporting Foreign Nationals and Transgender prisoners.
What we’re looking for:
A proactive, empathetic, and organised individual.
Great communicator and relationship builder.
Strong knowledge of discrimination, victimisation, and protected characteristics.
Confident using Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel & Word).
Able to manage sensitive situations with integrity and attention to detail.
Bonus if you have:
Experience in a prison setting or familiarity with HMPPS guidelines (PSI 32/2011 & 17/2016).
Knowledge of immigration processes or equality-related legislation.
The Details:
Location: HMP YOI Bronzefield
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hrs/week, Monday–Friday
Salary: Up to £31,752.24 per annum (includes London weighting)
