Building and Fabrics Technician
Job Introduction
About the role
Are you the go-to person...the one who answers the questions, with the know of how to keep the facilities running like clockwork? We are looking to recruit a Fabric Technician to support the operation and maintenance of all plant, equipment and fabric within the Soho, London site.
Planned Preventative Maintenance and reactive maintenance of general building fabric. Working predominantly in Central London (Soho) with occasional travel to Bishops Stortford. You will have experience / expertise in diagnosing faults and rectifying them. Ensuring all statutory requirements are adhered to.
Main assignments
· Undertaking Preventative Planned Maintenance (PPM) tasks, e.g. Weekly sprinkler tests, fire doors, smoke vents · First line response to any associated work orders · Carry out minor adaptations to the environment, i.e., putting up shelves, notice boards, hand sanitising stations · Decoration and refurbishment · Minor plumbing works (unblock sinks, toilets and drains, repair leaks, fit new tap washers) · Building fabric repairs, i.e. tiling, ceiling tiles, flooring etc · Adjust doors, tighten hinges, change or fit locks and door closures · Assist other service lines (front of house/security/cleaning etc) where required · Mandatory overtime one weekend in five to cover out of hours PPM’s/reactive works and host contractors · Be part of the on call Rota · Any other duties as required as per business requirements |

A few things about you
We want you to bring your great communication skills, fantastic team spirit and your can- do attitude with you when you join us. Being be able to work unsupervised and be able to prioritise work tasks whilst remaining calm under pressure is also a must.
As Sodexo embeds a strong Safety culture in everything we do, there’ll be procedures, site specific guidelines / requirements and regulations to follow such so it is vital that you have a good understand of Health and Safety at Work regulations and previous experience adhering to set engineering standards.

- Mon - Fri, 7-3 / 8-4 / 9-5 / 10-6. Part of on call rota, one in 5 weekends required
