What You’ll Do
Effectively deploying and supervising a team of porters to deliver timely service across wards and departments
Prioritising and managing workload through Portertrac and Kronos systems
Ensuring all portering staff comply with operational and H&S standards
Leading by example to ensure patient dignity, safety and care are at the heart of everything we do
Managing stock control of portering equipment and materials within budget
Conducting return-to-work interviews, training new staff, and maintaining personnel records
Working collaboratively with Sodexo managers, Trust staff and other departments
Supporting emergency procedures including fire duties and helicopter landings
What You’ll Bring
Experience in a facilities/support services environment
Previous team leader or supervisory experience
Strong organisational and communication skills
Confidence using IT systems to schedule, monitor and report (Portertrac/Kronos)
Awareness of Health & Safety legislation
A proactive and professional approach to problem-solving
Previous experience in a hospital or clinical environment preferred
Level 3 qualification in Management or Team Leading ideal
