• £Competive Salary + with up to 10% Bonus
• 40 Hours / 5days over 7days with flexibility with working hours, including evenings and late finishes
• Own transport is also essential given the location of Dundas Castle

Heritage Portfolio is looking for a passionate Hospitality Manager to bring these occasions to life, combining outstanding service with the personal touches that make every guest feel special.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves the energy of live events and takes pride in seeing careful planning come together beautifully. With around 80% of your role focused on operations, you’ll be close to the action, leading your team through service, working with our Event Design Team and castle partners, and making sure every detail is considered, from the first preparations to the final farewell.

Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll also help shape the success of the business. You’ll develop a confident, motivated team, build trusted client relationships and bring fresh ideas to our events offering, balancing creativity and quality with strong commercial awareness.

You’ll bring experience in high-quality hospitality or event operations, a calm approach when priorities change and a natural ability to inspire those around you. Above all, you’ll share our belief that remarkable hospitality goes beyond the food we serve, it’s about how we make people feel.

What You'll Do:

• Work with the General Manager, Venue Cluster Manager and client to develop a calendar of events beyond core venue bookings.
• Deliver services in line with contractual commitments, managing costs effectively while maintaining quality and profitability.
• Maintain quality control, health and safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with company policies, client requirements and statutory regulations.
• Lead and support the team, providing clear operational guidance and prioritising workloads to meet business objectives.
• Support the General Manager with recruitment, induction, training and performance management to develop a skilled and motivated team.
• Build strong, lasting client relationships and represent Heritage Portfolio at client meetings to support a successful long-term partnership.
• Ensure the venue is consistently presented to a high standard for site visits, participating alongside the client as required.

What You Bring:

Essential

• Previous bar experience/ management required - minimum 2 year required
• A passionate interest in the catering industry – knowledge of current trend and interest in the hospitality world
• Demonstrable experience in a high-volume and high-quality hospitality operations
• Manage multiple workloads and shifting priorities and exhibit g strong planning skills
• Deliver excellence in operational service standards and customer satisfaction
• Demonstrate resilience when faced with multiple business challenges
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients and employees at all levels
• Achieve set, standards and operate to performance criteria, for example health and safety, hygiene
• Ability to motivate a team of mixed abilities and personalities
• Competent in the use of use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook

Desirable

• Experience and understanding of events costing and design of events
• Personal Licence holder
• Food Safety Level 3 and FAW qualifications
