Are you an experienced driver with a background in hospitality?

We're looking for a reliable and customer-focused Hospitality Driver to join our team at HM Naval Base Portsmouth.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the move, takes pride in delivering excellent service and has previous experience working in hospitality. You'll play an important role in supporting our hospitality operation, safely transporting food and hospitality items around the naval base and helping to ensure meetings, events and dining experiences run smoothly from delivery through to set-up.

You'll be provided with a company vehicle to safely transport food around the naval base, so you'll need to be a confident driver who can work responsibly and professionally while representing our hospitality service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely drive a company vehicle to transport food and hospitality items around HM Naval Base Portsmouth.
• Deliver food and hospitality items to meetings, events and dining experiences across the naval base.
• Set up food and hospitality services to a high standard, ensuring everything is ready for customers and clients.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service when delivering and setting up hospitality services.
• Build positive relationships with customers, clients and colleagues.
• Support the wider hospitality team to ensure services run smoothly and efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, personal hygiene and presentation at all times.
• Follow all relevant health, safety and food hygiene requirements, as well as Sodexo policies and local site procedures.
• Carry out relevant vehicle and equipment checks and report any faults, accidents or near misses to management.
• Take care of company equipment, materials and supplies.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and maintained to the required standards.
• Communicate effectively with your line manager, team members, customers and client representatives.
• Attend team briefings, meetings and training as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow relevant security and data protection requirements.
• Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by management.

What We’re Looking For:

• A full UK manual driving licence.
• You must be 25 or over to drive the company vehicle.
• Previous experience working in a hospitality environment.
• A confident and responsible approach to driving.
• A friendly and professional manner with a genuine focus on delivering excellent customer service.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to work independently while also being part of a wider hospitality team.
• A flexible approach to working hours, with occasional evening and weekend work required.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety and presentation.
• Experience of working within a military environment is desirable but not essential.
