Join Sodexo as a Cleaning General Assistant at St George’s and St David’s Barracks in Bicester, where your work will help create a clean, comfortable environment for the Armed Forces community.
From accommodation blocks and gyms to classrooms and offices, you’ll help keep the spaces people live, work and train in looking their best. You’ll become a valued member of a supportive team, with training to build your confidence and opportunities to develop your skills.

Cleaning is the main focus of this role. Flexibility is also required to support our kitchen environments and retail outlets when needed, giving you the opportunity to learn new skills and work with colleagues across the site.
What you’ll do
- Make spaces shine – Clean accommodation blocks, gyms, classrooms, offices and kitchen areas.
- Take care of the details – Dust and wipe surfaces, windowsills and skirting boards.
- Keep floors looking their best – Vacuum carpets and sweep and mop floors and stairs.
- Maintain excellent hygiene standards – Clean toilets, baths and sinks.
- Put safety first – Use cleaning equipment and products correctly, following health and safety procedures and COSHH guidance.
- Help keep the site running smoothly – Report hazards, maintenance issues and equipment faults to your supervisor.
- Get involved as a team – Work alongside your colleagues and support kitchen and retail areas when business needs require.

We’ll support you with full training, including health and safety and COSHH, so you can feel confident in your role.
