You care for our patients. We care for your career.

As a Facilities Coordinator at Sodexo, based at Colchester Hospital, you’ll take the lead in delivering high-quality services in a dynamic healthcare environment. You’ll be an inspiring leader, capable of motivating your team in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a sharp eye for detail. With strong communication and organisational skills, you’ll help us put people at the heart of everything we do — delivering outstanding service to patients, staff, and visitors alike. Join Sodexo and be part of something greater. You belong in a team where you can act with purpose and thrive in your way.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and support the on-site team to deliver high-quality services that meet client, patient and customer expectations.
  • Build strong relationships with the hospital, client and internal teams, acting as a trusted and visible point of contact.
  • Monitor service standards, customer feedback and KPIs, taking action to continually improve the experience for patients, visitors and colleagues.
  • Take ownership of budgets, costs and financial performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and grow services.
  • Champion health, safety, food hygiene and company standards, ensuring the team works safely and consistently in a healthcare environment.
  • Coach, develop and motivate colleagues through effective communication, training and day-to-day leadership, creating a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Be proactive and hands-on, supporting events, service improvements and operational challenges while ensuring the site runs smoothly every day.

What you bring

  • Proven experience of leading, supporting and developing a team, ideally in a fast-paced service, hospitality, facilities or healthcare environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to work with colleagues, clients and customers at all levels.
  • A proactive, positive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to make decisions and respond calmly to changing priorities.
  • Good understanding of budgets, costs, KPIs and performance, with the ability to balance commercial goals with excellent service.
  • A genuine commitment to customer and patient experience, with a passion for delivering consistently high standards.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage competing demands in a busy environment.
  • Good IT, numeracy and literacy skills, with confidence using Microsoft Word and Excel; Food Hygiene Level 2 and IOSH qualifications are desirable.
