Job Introduction

Join our team at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh as an Event Designer and take your first step into a dynamic and creative events career. This opportunity has arisen due to an internal promotion, reflecting the strong development pathways within our business. We’re looking for an organised, detail-driven individual, whether you’re a recent graduate or bring a strong administrative background who is eager to grow in the events industry.

In this entry-level role, you’ll support the planning and delivery of small to medium-sized events, ensuring every detail is handled with professionalism and care. You’ll play a key part in pricing, coordinating, and communicating event requirements, while maintaining high service standards and contributing to commercial success.

If you’re proactive, adaptable, and excited by the idea of creating meaningful client experiences in a unique venue, this is a chance to build your skills, gain hands-on experience, and develop within a supportive and ambitious team.

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure venue budgetary targets remain a key focus
  • Maintain standards in all event planning
  • Responsible for invoicing and prepayments
  • Utilise system for pricing and planning events
  • Work as part of the Operational team as and when the business requires
  • Build relationships with key Client Principles within each venue
  • As a core member of the Heritage Portfolio team, be an ambassador both internally and externally
  • Conduct day to day business in an appropriate manner and within the agreed contractual terms
