Join our team with Sodexo as a Cook in a unique and rewarding role within a Ministry of Defence environment, where you’ll work alongside military personnel preparing high-quality meals and supporting a variety of events and functions. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something bigger, using your culinary skills to make a real difference in a fast-paced, professional, and supportive setting.
What you’ll do:
Prepare, cook, and serve high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Deliver excellent food service to military personnel while maintaining consistently high standards
Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and EHO regulations at all times
Support kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, following best practices across all areas
Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to support daily service, bulk catering, and special events
What you bring:
- Previous cook experience within a catering, hospitality, or food service environment, ideally within military or government catering, with a minimum of 5 years’ culinary experience
- Relevant culinary qualifications such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards, with IOSH qualification desirable
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-focused environment while maintaining high standards
- Passion for food, excellent attention to detail, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
