As Cleaning Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring these historic and modern spaces remain clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors every day. As part of the Sodexo facilities team, you will supervise and support a dedicated group of cleaning operatives to deliver a high-quality cleaning service across campus buildings.

Supervising and leading a team of Cleaning Operatives to deliver services in line with service level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs
Allocating daily cleaning tasks and supporting reactive and planned cleaning activities
Supporting the Facilities Coordinator with staff rotas, annual leave, sickness and hours management
Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across all areas
Conducting cleaning audits to ensure service quality and standards are maintained
Managing cleaning equipment, stock, and materials safely and efficiently
Supporting training and induction for new team members
Promoting and maintaining a strong culture of health & safety, COSHH compliance, and safe working practices
Responding positively to feedback and continuously looking for ways to improve service delivery
Building strong relationships with colleagues, students, and client stakeholders
Previous cleaning or facilities experience
Experience supervising or supporting a small team (desirable)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to organise tasks and prioritise workloads
A positive, flexible and proactive approach
Good attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
Confidence to work independently when required
