Sodexo is looking for an experienced Cleaning Manager to lead the delivery of cleaning and hygiene services at one of our prestigious London headquarters.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team with an October 2026 start date

This is an excellent opportunity for an established cleaning professional who enjoys leading teams, driving high standards and delivering an exceptional workplace experience. You'll play a key role in ensuring the building remains clean, safe and professionally presented while building strong relationships with both colleagues and the client.

Reporting to the Facilities Services Manager, you will lead two Cleaning Supervisors and oversee the wider cleaning team, ensuring all planned, periodic and reactive cleaning activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

You will be responsible for managing resources, maintaining compliance, monitoring quality, controlling budgets and driving continuous improvement across the cleaning operation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the daily cleaning operation across a high-profile corporate site.
  • Inspire, coach and develop Cleaning Supervisors and the wider team.
  • Deliver consistently high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and workplace presentation.
  • Plan rotas, staffing levels and resource allocation to meet operational needs.
  • Carry out regular quality inspections, audits and performance reviews.
  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and respond promptly to service requests.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, COSHH and safe systems of work.
  • Manage cleaning equipment, consumables and stock efficiently.
  • Monitor budgets, labour costs and supplier performance.
  • Coordinate cleaning activities around meetings, events and business requirements.
  • Drive service improvements, sustainability initiatives and customer satisfaction.

What we're looking for

We're looking for a confident and experienced leader who can motivate teams and consistently deliver outstanding service.

  • Essential
    • Proven experience managing a large or complex cleaning operation, ideally within a corporate or commercial environment.
    • Experience leading supervisors and operational cleaning teams.
    • Strong knowledge of professional cleaning methods, machinery, chemicals and equipment.
    • Sound understanding of Health & Safety legislation, including COSHH, risk assessments and safe working practices.
    • Experience managing cleaning schedules, quality standards and service performance.
    • Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills.
    • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Experience managing budgets, labour costs, stock and operational resources.
    • Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.
    • Confident using workplace systems for reporting, audits, rota planning and performance monitoring.
    • Flexible approach, with the ability to support operational requirements outside normal working hours when needed.
  • Desirable

    • A recognised cleaning industry qualification (such as BICSc) is desirable, or equivalent experience managing large-scale commercial cleaning operations.
    • IOSH Managing Safely or similar Health & Safety qualification.
    • Experience within a high-profile corporate headquarters.
