RAF High Wycombe, Walters Ash, HP14 4UE

Join our team for a rewarding catering role in a secure MOD environment, where you'll be responsible for preparing fresh, high-quality meals and supporting a range of catering functions.

Working as part of the Sodexo team, you'll use your culinary skills to deliver excellent food standards while maintaining a professional and efficient service. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, giving you the opportunity to work in a unique environment alongside military personnel and other on-site teams.

This role is based within a secure operational environment at RAF High Wycombe. As you'll be working in a location that supports critical defence activities, all successful applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals to a consistently high standard
• Support daily catering operations and service delivery
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent dining experience
• Assist with menu preparation, stock control and kitchen organisation
• Maintain a clean, safe and efficient kitchen environment

What we’re looking for:

• Professional chef experience in a catering or hospitality setting
• Recognised culinary qualifications (City & Guilds 706/1 & 2, NVQ Level 2/3)
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, team-focused environment
• A passion for cooking and delivering top-quality service

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working in military or government catering
• IOSH qualification or equivalent
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
