About the role

Asset & Reliability Manager

Location: Shell Centre, London SE1
Hours: Full-time (40 hours, Mon–Fri)
Salary: Competitive Salary + Sodexo Benefits + On-site Gym
Requires: Full UK Driving Licence

Shape the Future of a Flagship London Estate

This is not a “run the status quo” role.

We’re looking for an Asset & Reliability Manager to take ownership of asset strategy at one of Sodexo’s most high-profile contracts - and turn it into a benchmark for operational excellence.

You’ll be the driving force behind asset performance, lifecycle strategy, and reliability improvement, working at the intersection of engineering, data, and commercial decision-making. This is your opportunity to influence CAPEX strategy, long-term estate planning, and client outcomes at scale.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • High visibility, high impact – play a key role in developing a flagship contract
  • Strategic influence – shape 5-year lifecycle and capital investment plans
  • Client-facing leadership – work directly with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Transformation focus – move from reactive maintenance to predictive, data-led performance
  • Autonomy & ownership – be the recognised SME for asset management on site

What You’ll Be Responsible For

You’ll lead the end-to-end asset management strategy, ensuring performance, compliance, and long-term value.

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and embed the Asset Management Strategy aligned to client and Sodexo objectives
  • Develop and own the Local Asset Management Plan (LAMP)
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and smarter operating models

Asset Performance & Reliability

  • Analyse failure trends and implement root cause and reliability improvements
  • Optimise maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and extend asset life
  • Build and evolve a best-in-class planned maintenance programme

Data, Systems & Insight

  • Own the asset register across CAFM/BIM systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Deliver data-led insights on asset condition, criticality, and performance
  • Produce impactful reporting on KPIs, lifecycle, and CAPEX strategy

Lifecycle & Investment Planning

  • Develop 5-year lifecycle and asset replacement forecasts
  • Support and influence CAPEX business cases and investment decisions
  • Ensure asset changes, upgrades, and warranties are fully captured and optimised

Stakeholder & Client Engagement

  • Act as the trusted SME in client and stakeholder forums
  • Provide technical leadership across engineering and operational teams
  • Support a culture of high performance, safety, and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

This role suits someone who wants to step beyond pure engineering into a more strategic, commercially influential position.

  • Proven experience in Asset Management / Reliability within FM or critical environments
  • Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance strategy, and lifecycle planning
  • Experience with CAFM, BIM, and data-driven decision making
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate data into commercial insight
  • Knowledge of SFG20, statutory compliance, and industry best practice
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
  • Relevant Asset Management qualification (or working towards)

The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here

  • You don’t just maintain assets — you optimise and future-proof them
  • You’re comfortable challenging the status quo and driving change
  • You combine technical depth with commercial awareness
  • You want your work to be visible, valued, and impactful

What You’ll Get

  • Competitive salary + full Sodexo benefits package
  • Access to on-site gym
  • Opportunity to shape a flagship London contract
  • A role with real autonomy, visibility, and progression potential
