Role Responsibility
As a Help Desk Receptionist /Administrator you will be responsible for:
- Providing a professional receptionist / administrator service
- Dealing with enquiries from staff, visitors and students either by telephone, email or face-to-face and to forward onto appropriate contact if necessary
- Ad hoc tasks as and when required
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate for this role will have:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Attention to detail
- Interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi task
- Experience of working under pressure
Package Description
Helpdesk Operative (Permanent)
City General – University Hospitalof North Staffordshire
15 hours per week, 10:00amto 6:00pm, Saturday & Sunday
Salary: £7.24 hourly rate plus weekend enhancements
Please note that this post is not subject to the Retention of Employment model (RoE). This means that you will be employed by the Sodexo and not the UHNS NHS Trust.

As a Helpdesk Operator, you would operate the Central Helpdeskin a courteous and efficient manner so as to deliver the requirements of the client and the Facilities Management Team. As part of a team, you would facilitate the accurate transition of each requested task to the point of successful service fulfilment.
The successful candidates must have:-
- Excellent telephone manner and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure
- To act on own initiative and adapt quickly to change
- IT Literate
- Good level of literacy and numeracy
- Experience of working on a switchboard
