Your Role as an Exams Co-ordinator:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Exams Co-ordinator to join our Education department at HMP Peterborough. This is a pivotal role supporting the rehabilitation and resettlement of individuals in custody by ensuring our learners can access and complete their qualifications efficiently and successfully.
You will work closely with the Learning & Skills Manager and Education Manager to manage examination processes, data input and certification tracking. Your contribution will directly support the delivery of high-quality education services and ensure learners are enrolled and certified in a timely manner.
The role also includes responsibility for maintaining the accuracy of exam records, using internal systems and external awarding body platforms. You will support inspections and audits, contribute to departmental meetings, and uphold best practices across all administrative processes.

The Ideal Candidate:
Essential:
- Computer literate with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Reflective practitioner who seeks continuous improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of using Awarding Body systems.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry.
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a busy office environment.
- Skilled in multitasking and workload management.
- Experience with planning, scheduling, and diary management.
- Confident minute-taking abilities.
Desirable:
- Experience in a prison environment.
- Understanding and experience of moderating procedures.
- Familiarity with the Learner Record Service and its applications.
