Build a name with big-brand businesses and corporate clients, delivering high-quality nutritious meals for boardroom lunches, executive events, and daily workplace dining. This role calls for an experienced Sous Chef who can lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, maintain exceptional standards, and deliver outstanding food in a fast-paced, client-focused environment while driving commercial success.
Support and deputise for the Head Chef, leading the kitchen team in their absence
Deliver high-quality food production across workplace dining, hospitality and events
Ensure food is prepared and presented to company recipes, specifications and quality standards
Manage food purchasing, stock control, storage and minimise waste in line with budget targets
Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen brigade, promoting a positive one-team culture
Ensure full compliance with food safety, allergen management, health & safety and company procedures
Monitor kitchen cleanliness, audits and documentation to maintain excellent compliance standards
Support menu development by introducing fresh ideas and seasonal concepts
Plan staffing levels and daily operations to meet business demands efficiently
Lead daily briefings and chef meetings when required while ensuring excellent communication across the team
Minimum two years' experience as a Sous Chef within a high-volume catering environment
Professional Cookery qualification (City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of food safety, allergen management and health & safety legislation
Experience managing food production, stock control and kitchen compliance
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
Strong IT skills and the ability to work to budgets and commercial targets
A solution-focused approach with excellent multitasking abilities
Experience within Business & Industry catering is advantageous
