Site Operations Manager
Enfield, EN3 7PW
At Sodexo, we’re passionate about our people. We know that our teams are the key to delivering exceptional service and creating meaningful experiences for our clients, customers, and employees.
Are you an experienced operations leader with a passion for service excellence, people engagement and building strong client relationships? Sodexo is looking for a proactive and commercially minded Site Operations Manager to lead the delivery of Hard and Soft Facilities Management (FM) services within a large industrial and manufacturing environment in Brimsdown, Enfield.
You will take full operational and financial responsibility for the site, overseeing a diverse range of services including catering, cleaning, laundry, logistics and subcontractor management. A key part of your role will be engaging and motivating colleagues, developing a high-performing team and ensuring all services are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
With responsibility for financial performance, health and safety, compliance and service quality, you will ensure operational targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently achieved. You will work closely with the UK Operations Manager and Account Director to strengthen client relationships, manage budgets, drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and business growth.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially aware and hands-on leader who can bring people together, manage multiple service streams and deliver operational excellence. You will also play an important role in shaping the future of the site, with the potential to support the transition towards a more integrated facilities management (IFM) model.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead site operations: Oversee the day-to-day delivery of contracted Hard and Soft FM services, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency and client satisfaction.
Manage financial performance: Take ownership of site budgets, labour costs, financial reporting, invoicing and additional works to ensure commercial targets are achieved.
Build strong client relationships: Act as the key Sodexo representative on site, developing trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and third-party service providers.
Drive compliance and safety: Ensure all services meet statutory, legislative, health and safety, hygiene, food safety and client-specific requirements, promoting a zero-harm culture.
Lead and develop people: Recruit, onboard, motivate and develop colleagues, ensuring teams are appropriately trained, competent and equipped to deliver outstanding services.
Deliver continuous improvement: Monitor KPIs, audits and service performance, identifying opportunities to improve processes, service quality and operational efficiency.
Support business growth: Identify opportunities for additional services, cost savings and innovation, contributing to the site's business development plan.
Manage performance and reporting: Conduct regular client reviews, monitor service delivery and maintain accurate operational, financial and performance records.
Champion Sodexo standards: Embed company policies, procedures and best practice across all areas of site operations.
We're looking for a confident and collaborative leader who combines strong operational expertise with commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach.
Proven experience in an operational management role within Facilities Management or a similar service-led environment.
Experience managing Hard and Soft FM services, ideally within an integrated facilities management environment.
A strong track record of leading teams, developing talent and creating a positive, high-performing culture.
Experience managing budgets, interpreting financial information and delivering against commercial targets.
Excellent client relationship management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build long-term partnerships.
A good understanding of health and safety, statutory compliance and operational standards.
An IOSH Managing Safely qualification or equivalent health and safety qualification.
Experience driving continuous improvement, implementing change and identifying opportunities for service development and business growth.
Strong communication, negotiation, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365, with the ability to use operational and financial management systems.
Experience in technical services and a broader IFM environment would be advantageous.
