Security Officer

This is a lone working role, and applicants must be aged 18 or over due to the nature of the position.

Salary & Benefits

• £13.11 per hour
• 42 hours per week
• Shift pattern: 2-day shifts (06:00–18:00), 2 night shifts (18:00–06:00), followed by 4 days off
• Location: Wirral, CH62 3NU

Enhanced Pay Rates

• Overtime (outside regular shifts) when lone working (nights and weekends): £19.66 per hour (time and a half)
• Bank Holidays: £26.22 per hour (double time)
• Christmas Day: £39.33 per hour (triple time)

What you'll do

• Welcome staff, contractors and visitors while ensuring security procedures are followed
• Monitor the site and identify any security risks or rule infractions
• Carry out regular patrols, maintaining a visible and reassuring presence
• Respond promptly and professionally to alarms and security incidents
• Enforce site policies and procedures
• Complete accurate incident reports and detailed shift handovers

What you'll bring

• A valid and in-date SIA Licence
• A full valid driving licence
• Previous experience in a security role, ideally within a corporate or industrial environment
• Excellent observation, communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations
• A strong understanding of security procedures and best practices
