We’re looking for a committed and professional Security Officer to join our team at Hereford County Hospital. In this essential role, you’ll help maintain a safe, secure, and supportive environment for patients, visitors, and staff — ensuring the hospital can operate smoothly and safely at all times.

Provide a visible and reassuring security presence across the hospital
Respond promptly and professionally to incidents and emergencies
Support clinical teams with challenging situations when required
Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems
Conduct regular patrols to ensure safety, compliance, and incident prevention
Assist with conflict resolution and de-escalation
Complete accurate incident reports and maintain security records
Uphold Sodexo’s values and contribute to a safe, respectful environment
Previous experience in a security role (hospital or public-facing environment desirable)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm, assertive, and professional in difficult situations
High level of awareness and attention to detail
Ability to work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
Valid SIA licence (essential)
