At Sodexo, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Subway Sandwich Artists to join our team at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
You will prepare fresh sandwiches, salads and other menu items while providing a friendly and efficient service to hospital staff, patients and visitors. You will also help maintain a clean, organised and welcoming environment throughout the store.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering excellent service and thrives in a busy, team-focused environment. No previous Subway experience is required as full training will be provided.
What you’ll do
- Welcome customers and take orders accurately
- Prepare sandwiches, salads and other menu items to the required recipes and quality standards
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Operate the till and process cash and card transactions accurately
- Restock ingredients, packaging and other supplies as required
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across food preparation, service and dining areas
- Follow food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures
- Support opening and closing duties when required
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure the store operates smoothly
- Complete other reasonable duties to support the wider team
What you bring

- A reliable and punctual approach to work
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confidence handling cash and processing customer orders
- Flexibility to work across different shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
- The ability to remain on your feet for extended periods
- Previous experience in food service, retail or hospitality would be helpful, but it is not essential
Working pattern
There are three part-time contracts available:
- 17 hours per week
- 19.5 hours per week
- 20 hours per week
The store operates between 7:30am and 7:15pm, with Sunday opening hours between 8:00am and 6:15pm. Applicants should therefore be able to work flexibly across the store’s operating hours.
