Join Sodexo and take the lead in supporting our catering teams in the breathtaking Shetland Isles. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of delivering exceptional food and service in a remote yet vibrant environment — where your leadership will make a real impact.
Your Role
As Relief Chef Manager, you will step in during periods of leave and absence, taking full ownership of our catering operations. Your role includes inspiring teams, delivering high-quality food, and ensuring full compliance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and develop a high-performing catering team
- Deliver large-scale catering (400+ meals per lunch/dinner service)
- Manage food production and service to the highest standards
- Build and maintain strong client and customer relationships
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and environmental standards
- Manage stock, control costs, and complete all required financial reporting
- Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience managing a catering team
- Hands-on leadership style with a passion for food and service excellence
- Strong client-facing and team-building skills
- Food Safety Level 3 qualification (essential)
