£14.23 per hour
12–18 hours per week
Shifts: (Shifts are: 1st week 12 hrs & 2nd week 18 hrs) 1st week Wed & Thurs & 2nd week Wed - Friday.
Free staff car parking on site
Prepare 400–600 meals daily to a high standard and on schedule
Ensure all food is produced in line with HACCP and Sodexo guidelines, with accurate record keeping
Provide efficient and friendly service to customers during meal times
Maintain kitchen and service areas to the highest hygiene standards, completing all required documentation
Support the Chef Manager with buffets, functions, stock control and ordering
Assist with food preparation in the Grab & Go unit and Walmer House as required
Report incidents or customer feedback promptly, ensuring documentation is completed
Contribute to the training and development of junior catering team members
Play a key role in the smooth running of the catering operation
Proven experience in a high-volume catering environment
Strong teamwork, communication and organisational skills
Ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure
Passionate about food and customer service
Supervising Food Safely Level 3 qualification (essential)
IOSH Managing Safely or similar qualification (desirable)
Previous Lead Chef, Sous Chef or production kitchen experience
Knowledge of contract catering and staff training desirable
Professional appearance with a strong focus on hygiene
