Regional Development Chef(ROLE FILLED)

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Regional Development Chef to lead food excellence across Scotland and the North. This is a hands-on role focused on driving culinary standards, supporting operational teams, developing chefs, and delivering outstanding food experiences across multiple sites.
You will work closely with operations, clients and culinary teams to improve food quality, support new business mobilisations, deliver training, and ensure food safety and compliance standards are consistently achieved.
As a Regional Development Chef
you'll:
- Lead and inspire food excellence across the region.
- Support the development and implementation of seasonal menus.
- Coach and develop chefs to improve food quality, consistency and presentation.
- Deliver regional chef training, development programmes and new starter inductions.
- Lead a regional culinary network and facilitate regular chef forums.
- Support new business mobilisations, including menu creation, food ordering and site openings.
- Conduct food quality, health and safety reviews and support continuous improvement plans.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, allergen, calorie labelling and health & safety legislation.
- Support client hospitality, VIP events and food-related projects.
- Work with operational teams to improve retail offers, customer satisfaction and service standards.
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in a senior culinary role within the Business & Industry or retail catering sector.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Experience supporting multi-site operations and mobilisations.
- Commercial awareness with a focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- City & Guilds Diploma (or equivalent professional culinary qualification).
- Food Safety Level 3.
- IOSH qualification.
- Full UK & Ireland driving licence.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, health & safety and compliance requirements.
