At Sodexo, you'll belong in a talented pastry team where your creativity, skills and attention to detail make a real impact. Working alongside the Senior Pastry Chef, Junior Sous Chef and wider pastry team, you'll help create fresh, high-quality cakes, desserts and pastry products for a busy corporate environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Pastry Chef looking to develop their skills and build their experience within a high-volume pastry operation. You'll be working in a modern technology environment with two restaurants, varied food concepts and fresh food prepared onsite every day. The team produces cakes, desserts and pastry products on a large scale, including around 600 portions when required, so you'll have the opportunity to develop your confidence working with volume while being supported by an experienced pastry team.

We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for pastry, a good foundation of pastry skills and a willingness to learn. Whether you've already worked in a high-volume kitchen or you're ready to develop those skills, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll bring

• Previous experience working within a pastry kitchen or similar role
• A genuine passion for pastry, cakes and desserts
• A good understanding of pastry techniques and production
• Experience producing a variety of cakes, desserts and pastry products
• A willingness to develop your skills within a high-volume production environment
• Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and allergen requirements
• Ability to follow recipes, specifications and production requirements accurately
• Good organisation and time management skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, flexible and proactive approach
• Enthusiasm to learn new skills and progress within the pastry team
• Ability to work at pace while maintaining consistently high standards

Desirable

• Experience producing high volumes of cakes, desserts or pastry products
• Experience with vegan and gluten-free pastry production
• Experience within a premium corporate, hotel or hospitality environment
• Professional cookery or patisserie qualification
• Experience supporting hospitality events or large-scale functions
