We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaning Operative to join our team at Crown Bevcan in Peterborough, working within a busy manufacturing environment.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, has good time management skills and is comfortable working in a large, active production environment.

What you’ll do

• Carry out routine cleaning duties in line with agreed schedules and required standards
• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment across your allocated areas
• Empty and dispose of waste safely
• Replenish consumables such as paper towels, toilet rolls and soap
• Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and correctly, following COSHH requirements
• Use PPE and appropriate warning signs when required
• Respond to ad-hoc cleaning requests and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the shift
• Report any health & safety concerns, accidents or near misses to your Supervisor
• Work closely with colleagues, management and client employees to deliver an excellent service
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide a friendly, helpful service at all times

What you’ll bring

• Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a manufacturing or production environment
• Good time management and the ability to stay on top of your workload
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, flexible and professional approach
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to follow instructions, procedures and health & safety requirements
• Basic literacy skills
• Physically able to be active for prolonged periods, including frequent walking, bending and stooping
• Comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment where there may be higher levels of noise
