Join Our Team at St Leonards School
We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our catering team at St Leonards School in St Andrews.
Working with Sodexo, you'll play an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping to provide excellent food service to pupils, staff, and visitors. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team within a prestigious school environment.
About the Role
As a Kitchen Porter, you'll help maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety while supporting the wider catering team. You'll be involved in a variety of tasks, ensuring the kitchen and service areas remain clean, organised, and ready for service.
What you'll do
- Supporting the catering team during food service periods
- Operating and maintaining dishwashing and cleaning equipment
- Cleaning kitchen, wash-up, and food service areas to a high standard
- Assisting with stock movement and storage of deliveries
- Ensuring all health, safety, food hygiene, and COSHH procedures are followed
- Reporting any equipment faults, food safety concerns, or maintenance issues
- Supporting special events and functions when required
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent service

- Can work efficiently in a busy environment
- Have good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Previous experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided
